Daytripper Darkroom - Composite photography

from 125.00

Composite photography and editing pushes the limits of our art from what we see, to what we imagine. It requires a lot of work to come together perfectly, planning long before the first photo is taken. A composite must use light, focus, and perspective first and foremost to connect the images in use and make them believable.

On Day One, we will focus on how to shoot a composite. Staying aware of the camera’s perspective, lens, and settings, and the lighting used for each photo, to ease the process of editing and keep images consistent. We will examine the different lighting techniques that can be used on subjects depending on the background, and how to determine the most appropriate approach for every scenario you will encounter.

On Day Two, we will edit the photos we have taken, demonstrating fundamental techniques for cutting content out of photos and seamlessly blending them into other images. We will be separating content from black and white backgrounds, and examining how the lighting and environment affects the editing process and final results of a composite.

Each session is $125.00 and it is only $200.00 for both!

Composite photographer Michael Lane, will be your instructor.
